First of all, Blessed Christmas to all those celebrating. I wish you guys comfort and joy. To many of us, Christmas is a celebration of the Birth of Christ, the decorations, carols, food, fellowship and so on. Some of us may also feel the pressure of social media from society to be happy and sociable during this season or some maybe even feel pressured planning the perfect holiday. To me personally, Christmas is about being grateful.

One of the nicest picture i have from Christmas '19

If you've read my previous blog, I wrote about my year not being productive and I just did things in order to complete my responsibilities. Despite all that, this year, I'm grateful for many things. One of it is definitely my family. Not many are fortunate to celebrate the holidays with their loved ones, but I'm grateful that I get to celebrate it with them. I do argue a lot with my parents, blaming them for many things but I'm grateful for them especially during this season. Growing up, we didn't get to celebrate Christmas in luxury and I always wondered 'why' why do my friends get to go on holidays and we stayed home? why didn't I get cooler gifts? why was our open house smaller compared to the rest? why this, why that? But as I grow older, I could see and understand the struggle my parents go through every year to give the best gifts of Christmas celebration. I began to understand how fortunate I am to be having all these when I compared myself to many others. As of now, I can understand what people go through because I have been there myself and I'm also grateful to have the gift of understanding others and their situations. Also, I'm grateful for these group of friends that I became attached to over the year. Lots of love for these people!

This is definitely a reminder to myself that I should be Thankful for what I have. I am thankful that God gave me the wisdom of understanding. Many of us forget this when things don't go exactly like how we planned. We become disappointed easily. I am thankful that God helped me understand what it is like to be loved by Him and the people around you even though at times you don't feel like that's enough. So Shar, always be thankful for everything and remember what you have. Merry Christmas everyone and Happy Holidays!

Love, Shar! ♡
