Blessed New Year Everyone!

ッ 💛

It's amazing that plenty of things can happen in a year. Growing up, I've made good friends with strangers, I've lost a loved one unexpectedly, I've been surprised by people's action and I've come to realize that the one person that will always have your back is yourself. Throughout the year, I've laughed, cried and cherished every moment that meant something to me. A lot can be learned and every experience teaches you a new lesson. Since I turned 21 last year, here are 21 things I learned throughout 2018.

1. Love Yourself. Learn to accept yourself, every flaws, every strength every weaknesses, only then you will know what you want, what you're worth. Be your own best friend. It's a hard thing to do but trust me it's worth it.

2. Enjoy your own company. Go out and have breakfast on your own, treat yourself, get a snack and binge watch TV Shows. You choose what you want to do.

3. Don't be afraid to try new things. If you feel like trying something out, just go for it. YOLO. That's how I started blogging and I did not regret at all, it gives me this indescribable feeling.

4. Never be ashamed of your hobby. If your hobby is binge watching The Office, you be proud of it, at least you have a hobby of your own and no one decides a hobby for you.

5. You have no control of your life. Life definitely don't give you honey all the time. Things happen, the least you could do is let go, sit back and enjoy what it has to offer you. You would feel left out especially when you see your friends do better than you but don't complain about it and just go with the flow. Different people, different timeline.

6. Appreciate people / things you have. They might not be there the very next moment or some people are not privileged to have them. Be grateful.

7. Do your best. Whatever is it, give your best. If you're buying a present for someone, get a nice one for them or maybe something memorable. Let the person know you actually took the effort to do it and it will make them feel special.

8. Short hair and bangs are definitely a big NO NO. I regretted cutting bangs and there's this video of a --> guy with short hair that resembles me with short hair and makes me think twice every time I want to chop off my hair.

The only decent picture with my short hair and bangs

9. Learning how to change tire. It's crucial to learn especially when your tire decides to bursts in the middle of the highway.

10. Wear bright colored clothes. Its no harm wearing bright clothes sometimes.

11. Saying No. It is really hard to say no especially when you don't want to disappoint someone. But whats the point of not saying no when you're gonna disappoint yourself. If you really don't want, just say so. Don't worry about being left out. 😉

12. You don't have to try too hard to fit in a group. Just be yourself, if they don't like you, they don't. You can't please everyone. You might feel lonely, but like I said, the one that will have your back is yourself.

13. Be happy for others. Most of your friends will be in a stable relationship, finishing their degree, getting married, achieving their dreams and you're here still figuring out what you want to do and wondering if you've made the right choices. Just be happy for them cause you are learning what you want for yourself from them. In a way it motivates me.

14. Let the person go. Don't hold onto the person if they don't want to stay. Let them go. Sometimes, its for the best and remember, there is always better things in life.

15. You'll meet the right one. Don't hold onto one and say "He's the one". Get to know the person, know your differences, think it through and build yourself first.

16. Imagine your own fairy tale. Read a story and imagine you as the character. It's a fiction that's within you and gives you a temporary happiness.

17. You say friends, but no. It's a miracle to be in touch with friends from college and school. Your friends become acquaintances.

18. It's never easy to look for a job. I'm super thankful for the job I have right now even though I have to work on Saturdays.

19. It's fine to have blue days. We all have that one day where we're just feeling down, you just want to lay down and hear good music. Acknowledge those feelings and then motivate yourself.

20. Always be prepared for a different outcome. Plans don't always happen like you want. Take a deep breath and just think of an alternative. Even when you're really mad.

21. Treat yourself. You can always earn back the money. So, throw a party, get yourself that heels (you might get bad cramps), dress, concert ticket if it makes you happy. It's not always you know.

And I really miss having this hair.

So yea, that sums up 21 lesson throughout 2018 . Cheers 2019, lets see what you have for me and let's just hope I can accomplish my resolution(s) this year as well. Last year, I nailed it and I'm super proud of it. Have a Blessed New Year Everybody! And for those who've read my blog from the start, thank you so much for the love and support. It means a lot! ✌ 💕
