A few months ago, a friend of mine who's studying in India told me that she needed a vacation when she comes back to Malaysia for her sem break. She has been stressing over her exams and said that she needed to release her stress by having a vacation. At first, we wanted to go in a big group but as usual no one responded back so we decided to have a Girls Trip. Long story short, we had a 3 days 2 nights trip to Penang. Me and another 3 girlfriends of mine went on this trip together. We stayed at this place called 'Youth Wassup Hostel' in Georgetown. It is a really nice place. This trip was more of a relaxing trip. Instead of having activities, we just hangout together. We shared laughter, moments, gossiped of course and a little bitter moment when we were deciding where to go (Typical girl moment). At the end of the day, we were all happy and had a really good time. During this trip, I wouldn't say that we catch up on recent events of our life but all we did was relax. We did not even take good pictures. We all had a moment where we were sitting together by the beach, but no one said anything. No phones, no talks, just looked at the beach with a drink in the hand and got lost in our own thoughts.
I think it's important for some girls or even older women to take a short break from their everyday life and have time for themselves. House-wife or not, every women deserves a break. Get a drink, sit by the beach and just enjoy your quiet time by the sunset. Talk to a friend or sister that you're on the trip with. You don't have to share your problems or ask for a solution, but you can always just share your thoughts and perspective on things. At the moment, whatever your thoughts are or whatever you are sharing stays there. The moments you share there, you won't get it over here. Live a little, its okay if someone doesn't like it when you go on your own trip. You are going for yourself to make yourself feel good. I wouldn't mind going on a trip like this again and again. To my girls, I hope we do this often as we grow older.
