To the girlfriend I never had.

The one person that told me not to go back to my ex but went back to yours not once or twice but 11 times. Seriously? Meet my best friend everybody. I cringed so hard while writing this but since you requested me to surprise you, I tried. I don't really remember how we got close because we are two different people. I still remember you asking me "Is it normal to have teeth growing from the gums?" I honestly don't understand how we became friends. Was it the travelling? The constant arguments when we didn't agree on something? The insults thrown at each other but neither of us getting offended (except once)? Being each others wing man / wing woman and failing miserably? Random breakfast/lunch hangouts? Laughing like crazy when something goes wrong in the kitchen? Like when our classmate got splashed with butter chicken sauce and another thought it was a 'good idea' to blend the ingredients with the blender lid open. Ditching classes cause one of us were too lazy to travel an hour away? Video calls when one of us ditch class? Putting up with each others attitude? Helping each other when washing dishes and swearing at the rest? Gossiping about the rest as if we were perfect? Buying each other food when one of us were broke? Making fun of our classmates together? Hating on someone together? Making fun of each others crushes? Ugly selfies championship on Snapchat? Waiting for each other no matter how long it takes so that we can go home together? Waking up early so that we got our spot in the train? Texting to see which train coach I'm in so you can get in it as well? Being late to classes when I missed the train stops or me saving your ass cause you were a 'scaredy cat'? Making sure I don't get lost in a crowd or helping me cross the road? Giving each other nicknames like Tiffany & Brittany? Or maybe because you were the first and last person I see before and after college that made us share about our day?

Whatever the reason was, I'm glad that I got to know you. You are one of the first to know things about me (except recent events since we're both busy with work). Not a day without laughter when you're around and I'm glad that I got through college by having someone like you by my side. You may be brutally honest and your advises suck most of the time or it just don't make sense but I'm thankful that you always had something to say when I do something wrong. Thank you for having my back most of the time. Thanks for helping me choose dresses for events. Thanks for the random calls just to ask me "Eh, How are you lah?" Because very less people do that nowadays. They only call you when they want something. And I remember laughing so hard when you did that. Thanks for calling me straight away and ask me " Eh, you okay?" when I post something. Last but not least girlfriend, thank you for teaching me that a guy and girl can be best friends. We kinda broke the stereotype thinking just like Kate and Leonardo except, we are uglier.
