What Do You Think of Yourself?

It's the second half of the year! How are you guys holding up? I hope everyone is fine. I've not written anything for a while but here I am with another short content of what I learned. I hope you guys like it!

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of yourself? Two weeks ago, my church's student pastor had a session with the youths. It's a session called Heart2Heart and the topic for that week was What does God thinks of you? He started the session with a game where each of us had to stick a piece of paper on our backs with our names on it and our friends have to write one positive and one negative characteristics of us on the paper. He then asked us to look at what our friends wrote about us and what we think of it. Are you happy with it? Does it change the way you think about yourself? Does it matter? To be honest, I expected someone to write what I personally think of myself but no one did. This shows that you know yourself more than anyone and what you're capable of. During the session, I learned many things but the one that I really liked was knowing that what others think of us doesn't matter but what God think of you is matters most. He definitely have a purpose for you. Here are a few verses that Pastor Kelvin shared with us and I would like to share it with you. These are not the exact verses but an understanding of it :

1) Jeremiah 29:11 - You need to understand that life has a purpose.

2) Ephesians 2:10 - God didn't create another you. You are the only masterpiece.

3) Hebrews 13:6 - You are worth more than what you think.

4) Psalms 139:14 - He created you wonderfully.

5) John 3:16 - He was willing to lay His life for you. This shows that He loves you more than anyone.

There are times where you would feel like giving up because of the discouragement you get from others. Those words thrown at you hurts, it hurts a lot but remember at the end of the day, you know who you are deep down. No matter what happens, people always have something to say and think of you differently. You know yourself better than them and God loves you more than anything. So, don't worry about it, you do you! Have a nice day guys. Don't let a random person ruined it for you.
